The Only Way Is Up

I have to say that last week was a pretty shitty week all round.  I spent the first half of the week with a head cold, Thursday I got a skin cancer cut out which I didn't think looked too big but they I ended up with a 10 cm excision and Missy T broke her arm on Thursday as well.  Add to that, she has a rash on her stomach and back.  At least Mal and Moo are healthy!

Poor Missy T!  She was playing Bullrush at school on Thursday when she was knocked over by one of the bigger boys in her class.  It was just before school finished for the day so her friends ran over to get Mal.  When they got home he gave her some panadol and put an icepack on it and thought it was just a sprain as she still had movement.  She proceeded to get ready for dancing and went to her lesson (she just didn't do her arms).  Another dose of pain killers before she went to bed and she slept all night.  When she got up the next day it was still hurting so I rang the doctors with the earliest appointment at 1200.  She didn't want to miss school so off she went.  The x-rays confirmed that her arm was indeed broken, greenstick fractures in both bones of her forearm.  Needless to say, both Mal and I felt so bad but, in our defense, she barely complained.

Anyway, here's hoping next week is better!

In the U.S., we say, "When it rains, it pours" to describe how so much can happen at once. Won't your family just love the next boring day! Hopefully, you all heal quickly.
