Oooowww!

Two days in a row my enthusiasm surpassed my abilities and as a result I am suffering from whole body DOMS.  Thursday we had a finisher of toes-to-bar and box jumps and I decided to push myself with the T2B scaling from knee to chest to knee to tricep.  By the time I finished the workout I was doing knee to somewhere in the air around the tricep region, it wasn't pretty!

Friday was Muscle Fran.  As we know Fran is a 21, 15, 9 rep range of thrusters and pull ups.  This Fran was 21 ,15,9 dumbbell thrusters and muscle ups.  As I don't have muscle ups I scaled to ring pull ups and ring dips and modified the numbers to 15, 9, 6.  Silly, Silly girl.  I should have done banded pull ups!  What on earth was I thinking?

Today was a team WOD doing a 30 min AMRAP of Helen (400 m run, 21 kettlebell swings and 12 pull ups).  Missy T joined me today (Moo has cricket on Saturday mornings now) and we did 7 rounds between us.  She did so well again and I'm impressed at how much her KB swings have improved and she stuck with the green band for her pull up option.
Even though I'm sore as hell I've enjoyed the last few days of training and I'm looking forward to having a rest day tomorrow :-)

Ooooowwwww!!!!

I was back into the gym yesterday and I am feeling the pain today. In fact, the ride home from the gym was interesting as my legs were absolutely fried and pushing on the clutch was a bit dicey. Ouch!

I'm getting organised for the photos this weekend. Food has been pretty clean but I have decided to eat normally which is pretty good anyway and do an Accelerator Day on Friday, have some carbs on Friday evening and again on Saturday morning. I'm not going to do the whole comp prep thing because:

a) It is too hard to organise
b) I really don't want to put my body through that again

The rest of this week I'm treating as per normal. Clean eats and train as normal. Thanks for all the comments on my last post. It is always good for someone else to put things in perspective.

Owwwwww!!!!!!!!!

Training has gone really well this week. I missed my running sesh yesterday as Moo had orchestra early and then Hubs had cricket in the arv, so instead of a run the girls and I took Mossy Dog for a walk. I enjoy going for a walk with them though as we always have a good chat about their day. Apart from that one missed workout, I have ticked every training box so far this week.

I am suffering bad DOMS in my abs - enough that it woke me up everytime I rolled over last night. It amazes me how often I engage my abs doing everyday things. Ouchie-mama!

OOOOWWWW!

I received my new training program this week and all I can say is ow! I am suffering from major DOMS in my glutes and thighs. I had a few different exercises that I had never tried before, I think its great as it makes it a bit more interesting. Mind you I got a few strange looks when I was doing them at the gym last night.

Don't you just love the after New Years rush at the gym. Last night I was flat out getting onto a treadmill and other equipment. I always have a bit of a chuckle to myself as I know in a few weeks time it will be back to normal.

My weight is down to 52.8 today! I think that's fantastic considering the amount of DOMS I'm suffering.
