A Little Bit Fragile

I've had a week of crappy sleep and add PMT to the mix I'm feeling wrung out like an old dishrag. I've managed to keep pushing myself with only a missed session on Wednesday. Today I was planning on doing my Cathe Butts and Guts DVD but the idea of doing an 80 min DVD dedicated to legs just sent shivers up my spine. Luckily, Mal had finished prepping the cricket pitch earlier than I expected and I went to the gym instead. I found one of Liz's leg workouts and got the job done. Normally my Saturday workout is called a Super Saturday Session as it is normally a double-whammy workout. I either double up a class or go for a run and then something else but today I was lucky to get 40 minutes before I was fried so today isn't a Super Saturday but just a Saturday Session. I'm not beating myself up about it as I had talked myself out of training altogether so anything I did today was a bonus.

Update Time

Things are cruising along nicely at the moment. I am currently following the December rotation from the Cathe website (with a couple of changes as I don't have some of the new DVDs). I'm enjoying doing the workouts that I haven't tried in a while and, as usual, I like not having to think too much about my training for the week.

My weight is sitting pretty at 50 kg (give or take) which is pretty much my goal weight. I'm back to having a little bit of dirt everyday ... I do love a little bit of icecream at night and I'm finding that I can 'get away with it' for the time being. The key for me is to have a small amount and then I don't feel like I'm missing out. I still log all my food but am fortunate enough that I don't become obsessed with it, likewise I still weigh myself daily just to keep a track on things.

Overall, life is pretty good at the moment.

Booya!!

This mornings workout consisted of a double whammy of Cathe Friedrich HiiT 30/30 and the Double Wave Pyramid. 288 calories gooooonnnne and a least a couple of litres of sweat! I must have burnt a few more calories chasing the girls around the house trying to give them a cuddle. Funny how they don't want to give their mum a hug when I'm dripping with sweat.

I am back, bigger (well, hopefully not bigger) and better after my minor meltdown a few days ago.

Back In The Groove

I weighed in this morning for the first time since just before leaving for Brissy and I wasn't surprised to see a 3 kg gain. I'm not too concerned as I think most of that is fluid from eating extra carbs and not drinking nearly enough water. After a week of easy meals and not many veggies it is nice to be back to eating normally. Apart from a few walks while we were away, I didn't do any exercise either. I decided to do one of my Cathe weight training DVDs this morning and enjoyed that shaky feeling you get after a good workout.

I'm currently waiting on feedback from the comp although I know what it will be. I feel like I need to build my shoulders a bit more and work on my legs. I was quite happy with my back and abs. After having a chat with my girlfriends during our walks on holidays, I would like to organise some outdoor workouts with them just for a bit of fun. I also bought a kettlebell while away and am looking forward to incorporating that into my training. Liz is also doing up a training program for me and I'll have some new DVDs to play around with. I think with all this exercise shouldn't be an issue.

8 Days To Go

In 8 days we will be in Perth for my niece's wedding. I can't wait!!! I haven't reached my goal weight which unfortunately means I won't be wearing my fave jeans. I was really quite down about it all yesterday - on the plus side, I'm totally loving my upper body atm.

I went to Body Attack for the first time since the start of the year yesterday and, boy, I really felt the extra weight (and those jiggly bits, hey Kek!). Overall training has been pretty good this week. It was time to change my program and I felt like doing my Cathe DVDs so it has been DOMS city here. I like doing these DVDs to mix it up - I don't have to think too much about what I'm doing. Normally I will be totally slack and use lower weights but this time I really pushed myself with heavier weights (I must be inspired by Shelley). I was a shaking mess by the end of each session.

Anyways, I have a child telling me all about fairies so I best go.

Feeling All Mushy

I feel so blessed at the moment. I was fortunate enough to have weekend away with my friends and it was just what the doctor ordered (although an extra night would have been nice). We spent the entire weekend either eating or chatting (or both at the same time). It was so relaxing. I was pretty amazed when I weighed myself and it was the same as Saturday's - I was truly expecting a massive spike. I guess it helped that I did my Cathe DrillMax DVD before leaving :o)

Anyways, back into it today. I'm determined to get under 52 kgs this week - only 0.4 kg to go!

Just Stuff

Today my prescribed workout was Cathe Friedrich's Body Max 2 DVD. Missy T came out toward the end of it and did the stretch section with me. She looked so cute doing the pigeon pose in her pink flanny P.J.'s

This time next week we'll be in Brisbane. I'll have to do a list of things that I will need to take to Brissy so as to not forget anything. I decided to take next week off work to try and get myself organised. I have felt like I'm running around like a chook with its head cut off so it'll be nice to have a chance to do the things I never get the opportunity to do (like clean the house). I can also work on my posing to try and perfect it as I haven't had a lot of time of an evening to practise.

We have a very busy weekend ahead of us with a few social gatherings scheduled. Not exactly ideal with the comp only a week away but I have gotten used to being surrounded by 'forbidden' food and most of the time I'm quite okay with not being able to have it. I know that I have a free meal scheduled for Sunday (and I'm even allowed a bit of licorice!!) and I'm happy to hang out for then.
